2024 - Summer Analyst Internship - Inspection Générale (Internal Audit)

BUSINESS OVERVIEW:

The North America Hub is part of BNP Paribas’ global Internal Audit group (Inspection Générale) which is staffed by highly qualified individuals who perform high quality risk-based reviews of the Business, Operations and Functions, providing assurance and advice to anticipate and understand otherwise unexpected risks and put in place the adequate mitigating controls. The Internal Audit team helps senior management to protect the company’s reputation by avoiding financial and reputational damage. Where it is too late to prevent failure, the team investigates the problem, helps management deal with the after effects and establish guards against re-occurrence. Headquartered in New York, the North America Hub has primary audit responsibility for BNP Paribas’ activities in the United States. The audit approach follows practices prescribed by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

• Interest in compliance risk, remediation initiatives, and validation standards
• Strong interest in expanding knowledge of banking products and processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all partners and regulators
• Ability to work in a team, liaise with other bank departments and adapt to new situations
• Work precisely, transform data accurately, and explain how final results were derived
• Exceptional analytical abilities, strong organization and teamwork skills
• Sound foundation in risk-based audit approach and strong all-around audit skills are highly desired
• Maintains strong ethical values

WHAT DOES A SUMMER 2024 INTERNSHIP WITH BNP PARIBAS LOOK LIKE?

Over 10 weeks, you will acquire in-depth insight into BNP Paribas and gain valuable and practical experience. Whichever area you are placed in, you will join a team of award-winning specialists in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Through the program, interns have a distinct opportunity to gain guidance from mentors and exposure to senior leaders within the Bank.

As an Intern, you will:

• Engage in an initial induction training that will set you up to succeed, and allow you to network with your intern class across all business divisions
• Complete technical projects and collaborate with colleagues across the Bank, gaining exposure to real work in order to identify your skills and explore where your interests align
• Participate in weekly senior speaker events and roundtable discussions to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the industry
• Network with colleagues and learn about industry topics through workshops and speaker series, as well as through philanthropy and social events

COMPENSATION:

The annualized base salary for this position in Jersey City, NJ is $75,000.
